Hey there reader,
I’m glad to have you back!
I was reading something the other day when I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me concerning my time in the Lord’s presence. When I’m tired, in a hurry, or whatever the excuse may be I tend to have less time for reading the Word and prayer. Or I begrudgingly do it as if by some sort of obligation. But I was made to realize that in all my reading, prayer, and worship I am benefiting more than the Lord is. He loves obedience and genuine worship so it’s welcomed but as a result I am blessed with peace, direction, joy, etc. which are things that I cannot fully get anywhere else. On the other hand, if for some reason I fail to do my part, the Lord has other options:
“I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be replaced by stones! This reluctance to do what we should can be applied to a variety of things i.e. consistent church attendance, joining Bible study groups, going to prayer meetings, volunteering to serve in the House of the Lord, etc. Only you know what it is you are struggling to do wholeheartedly. But from here on out, when it is time to do anything for the Lord, let’s change our attitude because after all, everything we are doing is for our own good.
Until next time,
